IT Department of Etelä-Pohjanmaan Osuuskauppa manages their work with Nomis HelpDesk
Etelä-Pohjanmaan Osuuskauppa “Eepee” (Cooperative Society Stores of Southern Ostrobothnia) that belongs to co-operative group S-group, and Nomis Oy have been working together since September 2011. Eepee is a regional multi-sector retail company, which engages in supermarket, service and fuel station, travel and hospitality, agricultural and hardware, and car and car parts retail. Etelä-Pohjanmaan Osuuskauppa employs a little under 1,300 persons at 80 locations. The turnover for the company in 2011 was approximately 430 million euros.
Tommi Veistola works at Etelä-Pohjanmaan Osuuskauppa as an ICT specialist. His job description covers many things from workstation support to system orders. Tommi also operates as the contact person towards SOK Corporation (central company for the cooperatives). He addresses himself as “jack of all trades”. The IT-matters of the company are handled by one person in addition to Tommi.
During summer 2011 Veistola ran across Nomis HelpDesk on the internet, when he was looking for a system to assist the work task and queue management for himself and his colleague. More detailed familiarization with the system started then during the summer, and in September 2011 the helpdesk system was implemented at the IT department. By the end of the year, already 600 tickets had been handled using the system.
“My collegue and I are the only users for Nomis HelpDesk system in our company”, Veistola tells. “We have one common work queue, where we register all our work tasks as tickets. From the common work queue it is easy for us to monitor the progress of our work tasks, when we both see the stage of each ticket”, Tommi describes the helpdesk system use in his work. “We have been satisfied with the Nomis HelpDesk system, Nomis operations and people at Nomis”, he thanks. His satisfaction is also described by the fact, that Tommi tells he has praised Nomis HelpDesk to his colleagues when an appropriate situation has arised, for colleagues who go through same kind of situations in their work such as himself.
